Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) outline the agreement between Fun Surf LA (“we,” “our,” or “us”) and the participants (“you” or “participant”) of our surfing school services. By enrolling in any of our programs, lessons, or activities, you agree to adhere to these Terms.
1. Booking and Payments:
1.1. All bookings are subject to availability. We can’t guarantee availability for the same day reservations. Please contact us if you’re trying to book the same day or for the following day after hours.
2.2. Payment must be made in full prior to the commencement of any lesson or program.
2. Health and Safety:
2.1. Participants must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that could affect their ability to participate in the lessons.
2.2. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit for the activities and should consult a medical professional if in doubt.
2.3. Participants must adhere to safety guidelines and instructions provided by our instructors.
2.4 Participants have to sign the e-waiver prior to the lesson
3. Participation and Behavior:
3.1. Participants are expected to arrive on time for their lessons or programs. Any arrivals later than 15 minutes past the booking time will be considered no shows and not entitled to reschedule or refund without exception.
3.2. Participants are responsible for their behavior and should treat instructors, staff, and other participants with respect and courtesy.
3.3. Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior may result in immediate expulsion from the lesson or program without refund.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
4.1 Cancellation by Participant:
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us at least 72 hours before your scheduled session to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled session will not be eligible for a refund. If the booking is made less than 72 hours before the lesson it is considered as final sales.
4.2 Cancellation by Fun Surf LA:
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a session due to weather conditions, instructor availability, or any other unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund.
4.3 Rescheduling by Participant:
If you wish to reschedule your session, please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. Rescheduling less than 24 hours prior to the event is not allowed. If the booking is made less than 24 hours before the lesson, the reservation is not entitled for a rescheduling or a refund.
4.4 Rescheduling by Fun Surf LA:
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. In cases where we need to reschedule a session due to factors beyond our control, such as weather conditions, participants will be offered alternative session times or dates.
4.5 Participant No-Show:
Participants who fail to show up for their scheduled session without prior notice will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling without exception. We allow up to 15 minutes leeway. Participants who are more than 15 minutes late would not be allowed to attend the lesson and considered as no show.
4.6 Changing Group Size:
If you plan to change the number of participants in your group, please inform us as soon as possible. Changes to group size may affect availability and session arrangements.
4.7 How to Request Cancellations or Rescheduling:
To request a cancellation or rescheduling, please contact our customer service team through the provided contact details on our website or booking platform. Please provide your booking reference number and relevant details to expedite the process. Please note that the policies outlined above are subject to change at the discretion of Surf School Fun Surf LA.
5. Equipment:
5.1. Fun Surf LA will provide necessary surfing equipment for the lessons.
5.2. Participants are responsible for the proper care and handling of the equipment provided. Any damage caused due to negligence or misuse may incur charges.
6. Media Release:
6.1. Participants grant Fun Surf LA the right to use photographs, videos, or other media taken during lessons or programs for promotional purposes.
7. Liability:
7.1. Participants engage in our lessons and programs at their own risk.
7.2. Fun Surf LA and its instructors will not be liable for any injuries, accidents, losses, damages, or expenses incurred during the lessons or programs.
8. Insurance:
8.1. Participants are responsible for their own personal and medical insurance coverage during participation in our lessons or programs.
9. Age Restrictions:
9.1. Participants must meet the minimum age requirements specified for each lesson or program.
10. Governing Law:
10.1. These Terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Fun Surf LA is located.
By enrolling in any of our lessons or programs, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
